What Find A Crib is
Find A Crib is an informational tool that maps NYC rent-stabilized buildings using public government data. We are not a broker, landlord, or real-estate agent, and we do not list, rent, or manage apartments. We do not guarantee that any building has an available unit.
Accuracy of information
Building information — including addresses, unit counts, rent estimates, HPD violations, registered owners, and managing agents — is drawn from public sources (NYC PLUTO, NYC Open Data / HPD, HUD, DHCR) and third-party listing data. It may be incomplete, out of date, or contain errors. Rent estimates are ZIP-code typical ranges from HUD Fair Market Rents and are not a specific building's actual rent. Verify all information independently before making housing decisions. The Service is provided for general information only and is not legal, financial, or housing advice.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service (for example, automated scraping, or attempts to overload or disrupt the system).
Find A Crib Plus (subscriptions)
- Find A Crib Plus is a paid subscription billed monthly at $4.99 through Stripe. It unlocks listing-alert emails, managing-agent phone numbers, landlord/agent portfolio research, folders, and saved searches.
- Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the current billing period.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
- We may change subscription pricing or features with notice; changes apply to future billing periods.
Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute the Service's data.
- Do not use the Service to harass, discriminate, or violate any law, including fair-housing laws.
- Do not attempt to breach, overload, or interfere with the Service or its security.
Fair housing
Source-of-income discrimination — including refusing tenants with Section 8 or other housing vouchers — is illegal in New York City. Find A Crib surfaces this information to help renters; nothing on the Service should be read to endorse unlawful discrimination.
Intellectual property
The Service's design, original content, and compiled datasets are owned by Find A Crib. Underlying public records remain the property of their respective government sources.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Find A Crib is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its information. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and termination
We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these terms, at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. We may terminate access for violations of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
