NYC affordable-housing lottery agents
New York City doesn't run its housing lotteries itself. It hands each one to a marketing agent — a private firm or nonprofit on HPD's Pre-Qualified List that advertises the units, takes the NYC Housing Connect applications, verifies income, interviews applicants and signs the leases. If you're applying for a below-market apartment in a 421-a, 485-x, Inclusionary Housing or LIHTC building, one of these companies is the one holding your file.

Company descriptions are the firms' own words, condensed. Specialty labels are inferred from those descriptions, not published by HPD — treat them as a hint, not a credential. Agents market specific buildings; being on this list doesn't mean a firm has anything available today. Open lotteries always post on NYC Housing Connect ↗. Re-rental links are hand-checked, not scraped — HPD lists corporate homepages, which are almost never where units get posted. Each one was opened in a browser and confirmed. "Nothing posted" is the normal resting state of these pages, not a broken link: it means that's where the firm posts when a unit opens up, so they're worth re-checking often. Availability changes daily and we don't poll it live.
